SquareHue visits the 1940 in the 05.15 collection

I’m back with the 1940s collection from SquareHue for May 2015! Again, and please forgive me for sounding like a broken record, but SH polishes are notoriously buttery formulas. On each of these polishes this month I painted two coats. The formulas are easy to paint, and very self leveling. Let’s take a look!

So much to love here. The 1940 collection for 5.15 brings us to the era around WWII. From Left: shimmery Sorcerer's Hat 1940; high gloss creme in War Hero 1945; and Mambo 1948, a high gloss creme.

I repeat, I LOVE the square bottles. Storing these collections is a breeze and the labels on the backs are brilliant!

What a colorful way to celebrate a turbulent time in our history!

First swatch is Sorcerer’s Hat. What a glorious, non-staining blue shimmer!

Salute to War Hero!

War Hero is a warm, vibrant mustard yellow creme that is so glossy. 2 coats here.

Ahh, Mambo! Get your towering fruit hats on girls! Time to do the Mambo. πŸ˜‰

Mambo is a feisty chili red creme that is the perfect buttery formula. 2 coats.

    1. I have loved all the colors they’ve sent, and I really like this year’s theme of going through the decades. I think the 50s and 60s will be really fun! Thank you for commenting! πŸ™‚
