What’s shimmery, glossy and pretty all over? ILNP Summer Shimmers of course! Today I get to share with you one of two new Summer collections from ILNP for 2016. In this post we will be taking a look at the Shimmer collection. Six brand new shades that are sure to take your breath away. All these are glossy as heck as well. I will also be sharing the other Summer collection so stay tuned. For now, lets look at these six. They are available now and sell for $10 ea or $60 for the set.

Lilac Bridges in 3 coats, a lovely lilac kissed with gold! ILNP describes it as, “What we have here is an incredibly delicate lilac shade kissed with an assortment of gold shimmers for a heavenly finish. Look closely in the right lighting and you’ll catch gorgeously subtle hues of red travelling up the curves of your nails. If you’re into delicate shades, Lilac Bridges is an absolute must! ILNP describes it as “Valentina is a uniquely delicate shimmer with a lovely twist! This ultra sheer beauty radiates stunning red to gold traveling shimmers from a deliciously milky-teal base and showcases herself magnificently under all types of lighting conditions! While Valentina is gorgeous on its own it’s also absolutely amazing over your favorite base colors! Please keep in mind that due to the intentional sheerness of this formula, even after 3 to 4 coats there will still be a visible nail line.”This is 3 coats of Wallflower. It had me at Periwinkle! ILNP describes it as “Wallflower is an amazing periwinkle-purple shimmer polish that’s just so right! The teal shimmers in Wallflower really bring out the blue hue of this shade in direct light but look close and you’ll also notice the curves of your nails still show off the wonderful purple hue! Delicate but complex, Wallflower is perfect for anyone looking for something soft and unique! Fully opaque in 3 to 4 coats.”Pucker Up is one of my favorites! Here she is in 2 coats. ILNP describes it as, “Pucker Up is a vibrantly pink shimmer polish that’s super fun and just perfect for a sunny day! With help from a subtle accent of blue and violet shimmers, Pucker Up gives off beautiful purple leaning hues at certain angles. The overall finish of Pucker Up is so very crisp and ultra-saturated that you’ll want to eat it up! Fully opaque in 2-3 coats.”The Boulevard, here in 3 coats, is one of those 4-season shades. ILNP describes it as, “Time to walk that walk! The Boulevard is a blue-leaning slate grey polish accented with the perfect combination of yellow gold and copper shimmers that come out to play in all types of lighting conditions! If you’re after a dark and sleek finish, go for a stroll on The Boulevard. We promise it will not let you down! Fully opaque in 2 to 3 coats.”Ruby Sky is fully opaque in 3-4 coats, I chose to do it in 2 coats and I love how squishy it is! ILNP describes it as, “Ruby Sky is a seriously rich blue polish with delicious purple undertones. This stunner makes excellent use of high quality red and pink shimmers that effortlessly stand out in all types of lighting! Ruby Sky was specifically formulated to provide a wonderful base to shimmer contrast and noticeably buildable depth with each successive coat! The semi-translucent, jelly-leaning formula of our shimmer polishes allows for maximum balance, depth, and effect payoff. CONCLUSION: Although these are fairly sheer and jelly-like for the most part, I found each one of these formulas super easy to apply and extremely glossy. Yet they didn’t take a long time to dry like some of the more jelly-like polishes on the market.
What is your vegan/cruelty free policy? ILNP absolutely does not test our products on animals nor do we purchase materials from suppliers that do. We make a conscious effort to avoid purchasing animal/insect derived materials like carmine and guanine/pearl, etc. as there are plenty of synthetic alternatives that perform the same or even better.
Are your nail polishes 3-Free? Yes! All ILNP nail polishes are 3 free! They DO NOT contain Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Dibutyl Phthalate.
What does 3-Free mean? 3-Free means that our nail polishes do not contain Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Dibutyl Phthalate. These 3 ingredients were previously used in most nail polish formulations until recent studies found them to be potentially harmful or irritable to humans. While these chemicals aren’t illegal to use in nail polish (although California law requires special labeling if used), most large brands have already moved to 3-Free formulas at the urge of educated consumers as well as organizations that campaign for safe cosmetics.”
