Born Pretty Gel, Foils and Oil!

Well, this was a fun package I received in the mail today. Some gorgeous gel polishes, shimmers and Cat Eye, a dozen metallic foils and some tropical scented cuticle oil. Every single item is a winner. Let’s take a look!

First, a denim blue frosty Magnetic Cat Eye gel polish, BP 05. I thought it was going to be more of a midnight blue, but this works for me! Applied over black gel polish to really make it stand out. It is item #41515

BP 05 Magnetic Cat Eye Gel is a gorgeous deep denim blue, here I used a round magnet for this special effect. Cure after applying magnet and voila!

How about a lovely golden shimmer and red shimmer duo from Born Pretty’s Soak Off Gel Polish line?! Perfect together at a great price. This is item BP Soak Off Gel polish set #41492.

I am SO loving these super thin, easy to apply nail foil, gold leaf variations, gold, silver, and two oil slick variations. 12 pots and a tiny bit goes a LONG way! I applied them over BP 05 Cat Eye gel! Item #3966

Set pf 12 Nail Art Foil in Gold, Silver, oil slick red/orange/gold/teal and oil slick gold/red/orange/fuscia Set! Easy to apply over nail polish then top coat, or over any stick layer then top coat with gel as I did here over BP Cat Eye Gel BP 05. Item # 3966

And last but not least, an amazing cuticle oil pen, item #39329 in the scent of Coconut and man it smells amazing. Not fake or plasticky, but like real coconut. It isn’t overly oily, but feels just right. It also comes in Pineapple, Peach, Lavender and Almond.

An amazing Nail Cuticle Oil 2ml Fruit or Flower scented, in a handy metallic pen. I used Coconut here and it smells amazing, not too shiny either so great for photographing nail swatches. I am loving this stuff!

Mega (X) joins the Mega family from ILNP

I you have any or all of the rest of the Mega polishes from indie maker, ILNP, you’ll truly appreciate the new Mega (X), a holographic powerhouse!

ILNP began the line with Mega, a full-blown, no-filler SpectraFlair polish. She’s a rainbow in a bottle. Then there’s Mega (L), an even more linear polish due to it’s even more microfine holographic particles. She’s got that smooth rainbow effects you’ll love. Before (X) came the most recent in the Mega line, Mega (S). This SCATTERED version is intense and also a winner. All Megas sell for $10ea.

I also added a coat of clear topcoat even though Mega (X) is already smooth to the touch on its own.

Of course, polishes like this really shine in the sun, but the SpectraFlair is so full and evident, you will know that your digits will be eye-catching in regular lighting.

More heavenly polishes from Madam Glam: Look At The Stars and Galaxy

These next two polishes from Madam Glad, Look at the Stars and Galaxy may be polar opposites on the texture scale, but they are both heavenly to behold. Look at the Stars is a very pigmented indigo jelly full of glossy shine. And Galaxy in my book should be in every black polish collection. It dries to a lightly textured satiny finish and with a coat of clear topcoat or my preference, Gelous, this polish is truly breathtaking.

Almost as if they were made for each other, Look at the Stars is such a vibrant indigo blue jelly. Galaxy is a black slightly textured polish, dries semi satiny and blinks at you like the midnight sky.

If you want a midnight sky on your nails, this stunning glitter will do the trick!

Galaxy dries to a slight texture, slightly satin and two thin coats gets the job done beautifully. I recommend a coat of Gelous or glossy topcoat to finish out a mani that is “out of this world”! I recommend using a little square of felt for removal of remaining glitter.

Galaxy is described as, “A black kissed with glitters…”Black is the color! Especially when it comes with multicolor glitters that will make you the ultimate trendsetter!”

I am a sucker for a good jelly finish. Mainstream polish makers, take notes from Madam Glam because this stuff is primo…perfecto…impeccable! Love love love it!

What can I say but this is simply one of the most PERFECT jellies I’ve ever used. No staining, 3 THIN coats to perfection and glossy and smooth. LOVE this!

Look at the Stars is described as, “A vibrant indigo
“Don’t be afraid to rock this indigo shade! It will flatter any skin tone and match any personality! This is a Jelly. Three thin coats for full opacity. Very smooth to apply.”
