Back to basics with four Sparkle & Co gel polishes!

Whether you collect regular lacquers, extended wear gel-like nail polishes or full on soak off gel polishes, you always need the basics. Black, white, grey, neutrals, deep and light tones. If you like to do nail art, stamp, foundations for chromes and pigment powders, over gel polishes, you are going to want these! #006 Cool Grey gel polish by Sparkle & Co is a soft dove Grey creme fully opaque in two coats. It’s soft and delicate and perfect for any skin tone.

#025 Dark Grey is a great neutral creme, a glossy gel polish by Sparkle & Co. A great basic for your gel polish collection.

#024 Deepest Purple, a super deep purple creme gel polish by Sparkle & Co, is gorgeous! So easy to apply!

Here are four more creme Sparkle & Co gel polishes, one pale and the rest are deep dark! CONCLUSION: One of the best black gels, ever! Every one of these were two easy coats, a dream to apply, so glossy you’ll be tempted to forgo the top coat (but don’t do that 😉 and all in all, amazing!

Deep jewel tone gel polishes from Sparkle & Co!

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE all the bright and airy shades of Spring and Summer, but after those long seasons (especially here in Texas) I find a special excitement over being able to wear some deep, vampy nail shades! Today’s post featuring more gel polishes by Sparkle & Co includes four jewel toned cremes you’re sure to want to include in your collection. Today I’m reviewing four more sassy deep jewel tone gel polishes from Sparkle & Co, from OceansofBeauty.com! From left, #017 (Dark Purple), #032 (Brown/Maroon), #19 (Raspberry), and #020 (Deepest Blue).

First up and two versions just for grins and giggles, #032!

#032/Brown/Maroon gel polish by Sparkle & Co at OceansofBeauty.com is an extremely popular shade with shoppers there! It’s so perfect for Fall/Winter months and I love the deep raisin maroon shade. 2 Coats cured with base and top coats cured.

Just for fun, here is Sparkle & Co’s #032 in full sun with their Matte top coat on one finger, normal shiny, and their amazing Holo Pure pigment powder, all available now!

Here is 3 coats of #019/Raspberry! Now this is 3 coats, and tested on my natural nail doesn’t provide a deeper shade for me. But I am loving it this way! You May notice on the web store that the shade on the acrylic swatch stick is a good deal deeper, and all I can say is on a plastic nail stick must afford a deeper shade and I don’t know how many coats was applied there.

#020/Deepest Blue from the gel polish line by Sparkle & Co of OceansofBeauty.com. I love this Royal blue, and although the formula leans semi jelly-like, I still only needed two coats cured. This deep blue is perfect! 2 Coats!

From Sparkle & Co, comes a brilliant Green gel polish is a very jelly-like formula so you can easily dictate opacity and use for Gelly Sandwiches! #044 Shown here in 3 coats and it’s just at the point of full opacity, if I had shorter, or less opaque free edges of my nails. Some people have free edges on their nails that are more transparent, allowing them fewer coats for opacity. My nails have become very strong and my free edge is now pretty light colored and opaque thanks to constantly wearing a gel base and top coat to protect the length. So I’d call this one opaque in 3-4 coats! Isn’t it Christmasy?

CONCLUSION: The red and green shades are traditional Christmas colors with the green being especially cool because with each coat you get a different look. Please do read my description for ideas! #39 Azure Blue from the Sparkle & Co line of gel polishes at Oceans of Beauty. It’s more sheer than the others so I used 3 coats. Cured after each coat, and as always, you want to apply all these in thin even coats before curing. It reminds me of the place where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean!

The formulas on these are brilliant and glossy and super easy to apply. Which I knew they would be after using the introductory shades of black and white. And here is the new metallic powder, Sparkle & Co Metallix in Rose Gold. (but on me it’s more like bronze but just as beautiful).

Something new over at Oceans of Beauty! They’ve added Sparkle & Co Metallix pigment powder in Rose Gold. This is a 3 gram jar, which is tons if you’ve ever used pigments because a little tiny amount goes a long way! This is NOT a mirror powder. It’s applied the same way as the holo and chrome. It’s described as a metallic gold, but on me at least it leans more toward a bronze. It is stunning! $15, but read in my post how to save!

Sparkle & Co Metallix in Rose Gold over black gel polish. Next I think I’ll try it over white for a paler look. Over black it’s more like a bronze but wow, does this scream Fall or what?!

Sparkle & Co Holo Pure from Oceans of Beauty!

Look at this! Holy mother of Holo! This holo powder is so easy to use. Gel base, cure, gel color x2, cured, no wipe gel top/ halftime cure, rub on a tiny bit of Holo Pure powder, gel top coat and cure. ✨😎✨ My pinky and ring fingers are using white gel from Sparkle & Co. Here I applied the Holo Pure using the advised method flawlessly over both white and black gel polishes! And in the sun, it’s a blinding rainbow of sparkle and color.

Here is what I used and an example of the Holo Pure over basic black or white gel. Imagine all of the different looks you can achieve over other colors!

Holo Pure (this is TRUE Holo Magic Powder – NOT glitter): 2 gram jar and sold in either a deluxe kit or basic, your choice! To achieve your Holo look, you’ll need a gel base coat, gel color, and no wipe top coat.

CONCLUSION: I LOVE all of these so far, the base, no wipe top coats are the bomb and so far I am LOVING the gels even though all I’ve tried so far is the black and white! So easy to do and all without going to the salon.

Back around the end of June I found out I won this super cool set including a big 3 gram jar of the new Chrome Pure Powder, base gel and top coat gel!

When I did a practice nail, I discovered a skipped a step and ended up with a sparkly silver nail, pretty, but not the chrome it was meant to be. Boo, but now that I’ve studied up and I know how easy it is, I think I got this! I used my son’s girlfriend as my guinea pig and now I can’t wait to do my own chrome nails.

My first try on an accent nail was purely experimental, but now I know where I went wrong! I did my son’s girlfriend’s nails and whoa, I’m jealous! So easy to get this look now.

Basically, you apply base coat, cure in LED gel curing light for 60 seconds, 2 coats of gel black or color of your choice, cure each coat for 60 seconds each, 1 coat top coat cured for 60 seconds, rub in a small amount of Chrome Pure powder and buff to shine, lightly brush off excess with small soft brush, then top coat again, cure 60 seconds. Done! Shiny chrome nails for up to 2 weeks! I broke the brush applicator Christy sent me, so I ended up using a firm eye shadow sponge applicator for the chrome powder and it turned out perfect!

I can’t explain how excited I am to wear this on our upcoming cruise. No need to bring extra polish because this stuff is tough…as chrome!
