Emerald & Ash Cuticle and Nail Oils, let’s get this ball rollin’!

Emerald & Ash Cuticle and Nail Oils, let's get this ball rollin'!

Emerald & Ash just recently introduced 30 new scents into their scent line up for their nail oil line. This brings the grand total for scents up to 85! 87 if you include Seller’s Choice and Unscented. On top of that they offer blends of all of the scents as well! They say there are millions of options just waiting to be made! That’s PHENOMINAL folks!

I received a 3 pack of our 4mL oils for review. I chose Moonlight Tuberose, Kulu Bay and Vanilla Champagne.

I started with these delicious samplings. Vanilla Champagne, Kulu Bay and Moonlit Tuberose.

Their nail oils are hand blended and mixed to order. None of the oils sit with scents premixed into them. E & A use a unique blend of oils that include Fractionated coconut oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, meadowfoam seed oil, tea tree oil, vitamin A oil and vitamin E oil.

They created a nail oil that they love and use themselves. They wanted something that was fast absorbing, moisturizing and that didn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. It’s a cuticle oil that can be used as often as needed, while also using it frequently to help get your nails and cuticles into better shape. And I can tell you, I put my own cuticles through the ringer as a swatcher/blogger! I can almost hear my cuticles screaming, “call 911, she’s got the acetone again!”

Here is the condition of my skin and cuticles during a very busy week of swatching, and before starting my regimen of E & A's Cuticle oil!

BEFORE: Here is the condition of my skin and cuticles during a very busy week of swatching, and before starting my regimen of E & A’s Cuticle oil!

AFTER: as you can see, after 5 days of 2-3 times daily applying the oil, my skin no longer looks like the Mojave desert. Imagine if you had worse looking cuticles? And I swatched a ton this week. I imagine in a normal week, or for the average user, the result would be stupendous! I definitely can see and feel the improvement.

I received the oils on Monday, and it’s now Friday as I post this review. From the moment I unpacked these gorgeous little bottles, mine are the 4 ml size, I could smell the delicious oils immediately. But they aren’t in-your-face, so not to worry. They won’t interfere with your perfumes.

I LOVE this roller ball applicator!

I LOVE this roller ball applicator!

I’m pretty stoked about the application…roller balls! Love it! No worries about tipping or spilling. I am not the most graceful chick on the block. Plus you can carry one in your purse and apply on-the-go. No, you can’t do it while you’re driving! 😉

Emerald & Ash offer 85 scents in both essential oils and fragrance oils. Those 85 scents can also be blended into an even larger selection of scents. Along with that they offer unscented, sellers choice where they choose the scent and a scent of the month that is offered at a discounted price.

Prices range from $3.25 singles to $6.50/3 pc set, sizes are 4, 7 and 10 ml. It only takes a little so these will last a long time! The bottles are solid and so classy too. I immediately put one in my purse. Remember, a good manicure involves more than just the nails.

Here is a running list…so far, of the oils currently available!

Glitter Lambs’ sweet surprise

Glitter Lambs' sweet surprise

Here are two more amazing creations from Jamie at Glitter Lambs Polish. Get this…this decadent polish, Banana Split, smells like a banana split, for real! I could smell it right through the package as I took it out of the mailbox. At first it had me worried. I was afraid maybe something broke during shipping. But everything was in tact and all the bottles were in perfect shape, and beautiful to behold!

I opted for a yellow undie, the color of a banana peel, and a chocolate brown on the accent, because I LOVE chocolate ice cream with bananas.

Scented or non scented Banana Split, your choice!

It has a clear base with very pastel matte yellow hexies? It also has white hexies like whip cream and red hexies representing the cherries, plus white holographic glitter. It’s a delicious combination with so many possibilities. Banana Split is now available for preorder! Use their coupon code HEART15 on $30.00 or more to get 15% off on ALL OF Glitter Lambs POLISHES. Tell Jamie I sent ya!

Next I give you, Cool Whip. And although it’s not scented, it’s a creamy bottle of goodness, and no calories ;-).

Oops, I did it again

Oops, I did it again

Okay, maybe I was bored, but I spent a good part of the day lacquer shopping. After buying Revlon’s Autumn Spice from the new Parfumerie collection, I began a wish list of bottles I wanted. This is just a start! I’m not terribly interested right now in any of the pastels. Afterall, it IS fall! I’d already posted a photo (without swatch as yet) of the aforementioned color. But I wanted to share with you what I have so far. I bought all of these at Walmart @ $4.97 ea. (they’ve not yet arrived at all WMs). As I wear them I’ll be updating this blog with photos.

From left:
Bordeaux, a mix of berrylicious wine with vanilla notes. At least that’s what my nose tells me. The velvetly deep, cool-toned red is reminiscent of a fine red wine.

Autumn Spice, a blend of spices you might find in pumpkin pie along with warm vanilla, and a hint of woodsiness, like you’d find in men’s cologne. Mmmm! The mix of superfine crushed chromey glitter shimmer in a burgundy/brown base is highly pigmented.

Wild Violets. This one is tough for me describe after only swatching one of my polish journal pages. I think it will smell even more intense on my nails. Side note, I heard on the Internet, “they wouldn’t put anything on the Internet that isn’t true!”, lol, that should the parfumes of these fade a bit, a fresh coat of topcoat will reactivate the scents. I guess I don’t know what Violets smell like, let alone wild ones. But it’s a deep, rich floral, almost buttery. I think it’s bound to be one of my faves. The color is a mix of creme and jelly, and a perfectly deep plum for this time of year.

Last but not least, Italian Leather. (Don’t ask me the difference in regional leathers. I think it’s a marketing strategy!) I’ve strayed onto the dark side! I rarely buy browns or mucky greens. But, this one pulled me in with merely the name. Back in the day, oops I’m dating myself here, my dad wore English Leather cologne. So I figured that smell would be sort of sentimental for me. It goes beyond leather though, and it’s not as spicey as EL, but warmer with a hint of chocolate, maybe white chocolate? So then after I got to looking at swatches on Youtube, I was all, “…oh yeah, I’m all about that!” The brownish mossy green has veins of gold shimmer running through it and that alone makes it perfect in my book. I’d never wear this on my toes. I’m just funny about greens or yellows on my toes. I can’t explain it. LOL But, this one just screams November!

I’m predicting my next purchases in this fabulous line will be Wintermint (the Deborah Lippmann color dupe); Surf Spray; and Moonlit Woods…for a start. I’m SO hooked. Have any of you started picking these up?

Smell my nails

Smell my nails

Okay, believe the hype! The brand new collection of polishes from Revlon, called Parfumerie, smell divine. I was not wanting to believe that a polish that smells quite frankly, like polish in the bottle, could dry to such a fragrant delight. But these do. Here is my first bottle, of many I’m predicting. Autumn spice is like a spicy mix, much like you’d find in a delicious fall candle. YOU try to not go about smelling your fingers in public. Haha. And here’s a weird thought, what will be the results of wearing them on your toes?

I’ll post a pic of this one on my nails sometime this week. When I go back to Walmart where I found this, I’m picking up Italian Leather, which from reports on YouTube smells like a mix of leather and chocolate. And maybe the Wintermint (a dupe for Deborah Lippmann shade, which I cannot afford). I’ve also got my eye on the Wild Violets, a deep violet purple. So, any of you gals tried these? Love ‘em, or meh? Fragrant, check. High pigment, check. Long lasting, check. What’s not to love?!
