Today I will be sharing 2 of the 36 Madam Glam Smoothie Gel Collection polish, plus a blushing nude gel polish! I want to mention right away, that my first encounter applying the thicker gel polishes (with glitters) was a bit of a learning experience. For years I’ve developed a method of applying non-gel glitter toppers and polishes in a certain way, thin first then thick and dobbed on. It is not recommended to do it this way with gel because of the way you cure them, you cannot apply thick layers, ever! Although not especially damaging, your curing light will create a chemical heat reaction that is somewhat uncomfortable. Now I know this doesn’t have to happen at all and that applying 2-3 THIN coats cured after each coat does the trick nicely without any discomfort. This even applies to regular gel polishes that lean to the thicker side. Apply thin even coats curing after each. You end up with a smooth, saturated finish. The Smoothies look amazing! Also, I’ll be sharing with you a delicate nude with a hint of peachy pink. Lovely!
CONCLUSION on the Smoothies: I love the creamy look the Smoothie Gel Collection polishes. The bottles are adorable and the wear is average 2 weeks!
CONCLUSION on Over and Over: I have a ton of nudes and neutral regular polishes, but this is one of my first nude gels. I love how smooth this applies. It’s quite effortless to achieve a perfect finish.

Good morning to all my ILNP fans! I have three more fabulous polishes from ILNP Summer 2015 collection. Cameo, Long Walks and Super Juiced. I love that indie polish maker, Barbra from ILNP, really mixed things up with this huge collection. There’s something for everyone! Let’s get right to it.
Cameo on the accent nail, ring finger.
I’m down to four polishes to finish off this series. I’ll be bringing them to you within about a week so stay tuned! Every one is a winner and I’ve saved the sparkliest ones for last! I hope you are having an amazing summer. Although it’s winding down, the heat has not. But you know, here in Central Texas, it is a drier heat than we had back in SW MO. That’s a good thing! Thanks for reading and please comment, I love it when you do.
Here are a few fabulous facts for your shopping pleasure.
What is your vegan/cruelty free policy? ILNP absolutely does not test our products on animals nor do we purchase materials from suppliers that do. We make a conscious effort to avoid purchasing animal/insect derived materials like carmine and guanine/pearl, etc. as there are plenty of synthetic alternatives that perform the same or even better.
Are your nail polishes 3-Free? Yes! All ILNP nail polishes are 3 free! They DO NOT contain Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Dibutyl Phthalate.
What does 3-Free mean? 3-Free means that our nail polishes do not contain Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Dibutyl Phthalate. These 3 ingredients were previously used in most nail polish formulations until recent studies found them to be potentially harmful or irritable to humans. While these chemicals aren’t illegal to use in nail polish (although California law requires special labeling if used), most large brands have already moved to 3-Free formulas at the urge of educated consumers as well as organizations that campaign for safe cosmetics.”
I know, I know. It’s 90 degrees out, the sun is shining…not even dog days yet. But still, we all love taking a peek at fall collections right about this time. And the new CND Vinylux fall collection for 2015, Contradictions, will not disappoint. This warm and cozy bunch features 8 polishes in the Weekly Polish System lineup. The Shellac version contains six. I will be bringing you 2-3 shades at a time, just to tempt your autumn appetite.
For starters, today I chose a light and a dark shade from the Weekly Polish collection with a little block color nail art thrown in. Naked Naivete and Couture Covet.
The Naked Naiveté recquired 3 coats for this look. You might get away with two and it’s super creamy and self-leveling. Couture Covet is a smooth 1-coater.
Keep watching here as I bring you more combos from the collection. “This season’s trends celebrate an unexpected clash between gritty street elements and elegant details for a dynamic combination of glamour and grunge,” says CND Co-founder and Style Director Jan Arnold. “Nails evoke an edgy narrative with blackened pigments and heraldic ornaments. Enhanced almonds in purple and red are deepened and oxidized with smoked pearl and steel finishes.”
FEATURED BENEFITS: VINYLUX® Weekly Polish system includes a self-adhering Color Coat that eliminates the need for Base Coat; Top Coat becomes more durable with exposure to natural light; dries in just 8.5 minutes and provides week-long chip-free wear.

I am beyond pleased to share with you one of the newest additions to the Zoya family of Naturel nudes, the Naturel Satins Transitional collection for 2015. Inside the beautiful frosted bottles with velvety caps, lies the extremely opaque polishes that will take you smoothly from winter into spring. I used two coats of each shade, all very similar in formula with the exception of Ana. She was very slightly more sheer due to her pale pink shade, but smoothed out nicely upon application of the second coat. These polishes dry quickly to a satiny finish, not shiny, not quite matte. Very attractive for the office or when you need to be classy yet in fashion. Although these are a bit on the thick side, they self leveled very nicely. Let’s take a look!
The new Zoya Naturel Satin* formula provides opaque coverage and wears much longer than traditional matte shades. Plus, the forgiving smooth finish hides imperfections!
First up is Leah. I was immediately impressed with how nice this shade complimented my pale winter skin tone. I think this will look great on any skin tone as well.
Rowan was the surprise shade in the bunch in my view. I was unsure if I’d like a suede taupe on my skin, but it was one of my favorites.
Sage is one of those earthy soft shades I love.
Tove is the essential grey. Since greys seem to be the fashion statement color this season, I’m glad they included this one in the collection.
Next we have Brittany. It’s a fabulous rose mauve. Sort of old school, but not old fashioned.
And last we have delicate Ana. My fave pink of the collection.
Overall I am extremely impressed with this collection. Leave it to Zoya to continually think outside the box. The formulas were all buttery smooth, very opaque, quick drying, self leveling and the shades are perfect. I had no trouble at all in application and as always, the brushes are perfection. I highly recommend every one of these! Come back a little later…as I bring you the Zoya Delight Spring collection for 2015 🙂
*The Satin formula is a hybrid between matte and glossy polishes and is not intended to be worn with a top coat. For best results: Prep nail with Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover, apply base coat and finish with 2 thin coats of any Satin polish.
They can be ordered now from Zoya.com for $9ea or for the whole collection for $54.
Introducing the second part of my 2-part series, Do YouBelieve? from the Morgan Taylor Fall 2014 Enchantment Collection. Escape to a magical fantasyland with this limited-edition palette of three majestic hues.
First up, Who-Dini? This one was a bit more sheer than I expected, but the formula was smooth and not watery at all. Two coats and you’re done.
Now You See Me Is one of those shimmery glitters that make you gasp the first time you apply it. It is so densely packed, yet smooth and opaque at the same time. I’m in love with this one. Perfect for fall, and a one coater to boot.
Simply Spellbound is clearly one of the best nudes I’ve ever worked with. Granted it does take two even coats to opacity, it is very forgiving and blends beautifully. I don’t tend to use many nudes because the shades are either too yellow, or too pink for my skin tone. But this one is just right.
That’s it for this magical collection. Morgan Taylor did a great job in matching these polishes up within their sets. All compliment each other perfectly, making it easier to come up with nail art. I’m no artist, so I just dabble with the creative side of my manis. So I’m rather grateful when companies put this much thought into their collections. See the links below to find your Magic!
