Greetings all! We find ourselves between Thanksgiving and Christmas and as we finish off the leftover turkey, it’s already time to hang the greens and shop for gifts! I totally overdid it, as usual, and maxed out my pain threshold while decorating for Christmas. I spent the good part of the week in deep seering pain and although I’m on the mend, the discomfort in my shoulder has somewhat subsided and is traveling down into my knuckles. But hey, all for a good cause right? lol This getting older stuff is no fun. I still have shopping to do, and ugh, the thought of rolling out more pie dough makes me wince. At least my house looks picture perfect 😉
Regardless of the old lady pains the past week, the swatching must go on, right?! Today, I have some gorgeous gel polishes from Madam Glam. Always so many fun new things arriving at MadamGlam.com. You can also now find lipsticks there, and brand new, a nail color dipping powder system. Yay! So let’s get on with the swatches….
I LOVE this kind of green and it’s perfect for holiday and winter manis. That extra sparkle is perfect!
Glittery Plum is so juicy! I love this kind of shade and it goes on super smooth.
I love Cat Eye polishes, like really really love them! So versatile and this shade is what I would call an office appropriate polish.
You won’t find a quicker way of applying a cured gel polish than the One Step. No base or top coat necessary and you can layer and mix and match them with ease. Sprinkle Jam is super fun over red.
Conclusion: I think I’ve said it all, but you know when you buy polishes and accessories from Madam Glam, you are definitely getting your money’s worth! Shop now and look for specials as well! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and heartfelt Holiday wishes!

Recently I got to try three of the Winter 2016 A Delos Holiday collection by Indigo Bananas. I want to jump right in here and say the formulas are perfect! So easy to apply, base coat recommended and top coat optional, they are shiny!
NOTE: I was going to get this posed over the weekend, but Saturday morning my son and I hit by a hit and run driver, we were coming out of a stop sign intersection in a residential area, and the cross traffic was empty, except…a guy came barreling down and I didn’t see him, and he hit me at a full 30 mph! We are ok, I’m still a bit sore but nothing broken, but my car 😥 The guy that ran into me took off, so there’s that. Anyway, thank God for insurance as he is nowhere to be found, yet. So I am back on my feet, onward and forward!
Here are these gorgeous polishes! ~Winter 2016 Collection~ A Delos Holiday…A tribute to Westworld, one of many worlds for your many holidays. Okay, I’m a sucker for flashy polish bottles and Tahitian Sun custom polishes really hit home with my beach lovin’ heart with their sandy bottle tops with real starfish embellishments. Wow!
And now for the fun part. Here are two of their sparkling metallics. Metallic Silver and Gold. And a luscious berry shade, Raspberry.
I can’t wait to try more. Besides their willingness and ability to create custom colors and formulas, there are a ton of options from the menu. Here are the details on how to get yours! They take Amazon, AMEX, Discover, MC, VISA and Paypal.
Tahitian Sun background: “…We are here to assist you in creating a polish that reflects your personal style. Our nail polishes are made the day you order unlike the store polishes that sit on shelves for months at a time loosing their color and shine.”
Do visit their website to find out how to design your own polish or order one in stock! They create Gloss, Matte, Glitter, Metallic and Neons, with more formulas coming soon!
Toxic Free Ingredients (5-FREE)
All of our products contain “No Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalat, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor”. We take pride in being a toxic 5-Free alternative.
Toluene. The least harmful of the toxic trio, toluene is a volatile organic compound (VOC) that is found in paints, thinners, and inks. Despite giving nail polish its ability to dry quickly, toluene is still a harmful chemical. The ingredient is also classified by the California Department Of Public Health Occupational Health Branch California Safe Cosmetics Program as cancer-causing.
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP). DBP is a carcinogen found in paints, plastics, and pesticides that stops nail polish from being brittle. It is classified by the European Union as a suspected endocrine disrupter and Health Canada has linked it to liver and kidney failure in children.
Formaldehyde. Similar to DBP, formaldehyde is also classified as a known human carcinogen by The International Agency for Research on Cancer. It allows nail polish to harden and chip less, but can lead to fatigue, skin irritation, and immune dysfunction in users.
Formaldehyde resin. While similar to formaldehyde, no link between cancer and formaldehyde resin has been found. The resin helps strengthen nails, but is a skin allergen and immune system toxicant that can cause dermatitis.
Camphor. Camphor is created by distilling the bark of a camphor tree. Although natural, inhaling or having large exposure to camphor can be toxic, create irritation, and cause seizures in children.
the (non) Use of Animal-Derived Ingredients in our Products
“We hereby confirm that the color additives we sell have not been the subject of animal testing for cosmetic purposes by or on behalf of this company.
Certified organic (FD&C and D&C) dyes and pigments, non-certified organics and inorganic mineral colorants are made by chemical syntheses and are not manufactured with or derived from animal derived ingredients (except in the case of any product which contains Carmine, which is animal derived). Fillers, such as talc, mica, kaolin, etc., are derived solely from mineral ores, likewise without the use of animal ingredients.”
