Cruise to the SquareHue Sail Windward Islands

Hello SUMMER! I’ll get right to the point. If you love summertime, the sun, the sea, the fun. Go no further than the SquareHue Adventure Collection for June, Sail Windward Islands. Amazing shades of citrus for your fingers and toes.

Slap on your deck shoes because SquareHue is taking you for a cruise to the Caribbean. The June collection, Sail Windward Islands includes, from left, green shimmer of Martinique; orange shimmer of St. Vincent; and yellow high gloss creme of St. Lucia.

St. Vincent is a tangerine orange with golden shimmer. This one is breathtaking. Easy to apply. Nail charms by Glitter Lambs on Etsy.

St. Lucia is a banana peel yellow. Vibrant and pigmented. A bit on the jelly side. This took 2 coats. Nail art pieces by Glitter Lambs on Etsy!

Martinique is a glorious key lime green with hints of golden shimmer. Absolutely love this. 3 smooth and easy coats. Nail charms by Glitter Lambs on Etsy!

Conclusion. I love citrus, and especially love citrusy polishes like this. I would recommend using a good base coat in case of pigment bleed. The yellow is especially pigmented. Love the application and colors! A special thank you to Jamie from Glitter Lambs. Her charms and nail jewelry is the bomb!

SquareHue Adventure Collection takes us to Skydive Interlaken!

Diving right into the April polish subscription box from SquareHue, the moment I opened it I was out of breath! The April Adventure Collection brings us Skydive Interlaken. Three finishes, three knockout shades. Let’s suit up and take a look!

Eye popping shades for April! From Left, Monch…an eye-searing matte yellow. Eiger…a pink duochrome gloss (I’d consider it more of a pink with flashes of blue). And a glitter within a purple crelly, Jungfrau.

Monch is so brilliant, not even the sun can compete with this shade. Wear it matte or shine it up even more with a topcoat. I don’t know why but yellow this shade screams for black! So I had fun with some dots and dry marble.

Monch in 2 coats. I read that some folks had some streaking and stringy formula issues. I had NO issues at all. Dried fast and very matte and I didn’t even need a 3rd coat.

Eiger is a super glossy pink with flashes of blue shimmer. I don’t seem to get a duochrome effect, but it’s sure gorgeous!

It took 3 thin coats and was easy to apply. I love pinks like this with that hint of shimmer.

Last but no way least, a super surprise this month is a pale purple crelly/glitter, Jungfrau. Hey, did you know that Jungfrau is a group of mountain peaks in Switzerland? Me neither. I really must get out more! lol

Jungfrau in 3 easy coats gives you great depth and dimension.

Conclusion. I read a couple mini reviews and a couple of reviewers had a couple of problems with Jungfrau and Monch. I had 0 problems, 0 defects! the Eiger took a bit longer to dry but the glossiness is worth it. Jungfrau is exactly how I like my crelly/glitters. And Monch, well. She’s a standout as far as yellow polishes are concerned. I’m super pleased!

Anticipating spring, Waterland District happens to be one of my favorite types of shades.

Here is Waterland District in 2 glossy coats. Smooth application, could probably get away with one. It’s a super shiny aqua/teal creme.

Vondelpark is a smokey purple full of shine.

Vondelpark is a glorious 1 coater creme. Loaded with gloss, this smokey purple eggplant is amazing!

Can never get enough red! Love this shimmery one, The Nieuwmarkt.

SquareHue The Adventure Collection: Hike Banff is a great start!

The SquareHue Adventure Collection sets off with Hike Banff for 01/16. The info card included mentions Banff is located in Canada. From left, shades are: Lake Louise, a frosted pale blue; Lodgepole Pine, a high gloss deep green creme; and Johnston Canyon, a high gloss warm nude creme.

It’s going to be an exciting year as the monthly polish subscription service, SquareHue, takes us across the globe with the Adventure Collection. The January box features Canada with Hike Banff. Let’s take a peek!

Lake Louise in two coats. Admit it, sometimes we have a love/hate relationship with frosts because of streaking. I had very little problem with this blue beauty.

Johnston Canyon is a stunning, super pigmented nude creme. Slightly on the peachy side but goes on shockingly opaque. I used two coats here because I had some imperfections on my nails. It’s been a rough winter! lol

Lodgepole Pine in two coats. Okay, is it possible to be in love with green nail polish? YES!

And just for fun…

I had a bit of fun creating this lake scene using all three shades from the Hike Banff collection.

SquareHue Decades Collection: 1920…times are achangin’

I just knew the March SquareHue box was going to be glamorous and edgy. I was right! I could easily see these three shades in any speakeasy. From a time when women ditched their corsets, bobbed their locks and took up smoking, fashion took a huge leap. Let check out these fabulous shades and formulas from SquareHue, the subscription box that gives back.

SquareHue Decades Collection: 1920 for 3.15 brings us the roaring 20s inspired shades. Full of glitz and glamour, the three shades would truly be loved by any flapper! From left/top/bottom: Art & Deco 1925, a copper shimmer; Style & Speed 1921 is a silver micro glitter; and the delicate Cocktails & Cigarettes, a shear pearl with teal flash.

First we have Cocktails & Cigarettes 1920. It’s a blushing duotoned topper, or shear polish, that flashes teal and is especially stunning over other shades!

Cocktails & Cigarettes 1920 is anything but unladylike, but considering the fashion was often braless, shear and a bit unconventional, it’s the perfect topper seen here over black and white! It turns black into a shimmery teal and white into a peach chiffon shimmer. It’s the bee’s knees! On the pinky finger it’s on it’s own in 3 coats then accented with a dotticure of black and white, then topped with C & C.

Next up on the dance floor is Style & Speed 1921. It’s a glossy mirror like silver micro glitter that will knock your socks off!

And but certainly not least, Art & Deco 1925. A Copper shimmer with an impeccable formula, dries fast a and a 2-coater.

Art & Deco 1925 was the dawn of the Art Deco era where flappers did pretty much what they wanted, dancing the Charleston was all the rage and style went from fussy to fabulous.
