If you’ve never had the opportunity to try wHet nail lacquers, you NEED to get your hands on them. I have never been disappointed by any of them. Highly glossy finishes, rich pigments and longlasting wear, you can’t go wrong with these polishes and they are worth every penny. Let’s get right to them.
I’ll start with the gorgeously reformulated pink creme, Ethereal.

I love a good gold polish and although I supposed I own plenty, they all have different qualities. I love Opulent because the formula is so superior to many I’ve tried.
Opulent is that “must-have” gold. Super easy to apply, rich and luxurious, only 2 coats. Hubris is one of the stunning coral/salmon cremes that look fabulous on every skin tone. Love this!!!
Hubris is somewhere between coral and pale salmon. Highly pigmented and super glossy, it only requires 2 coats. And last, but a new fave of mine, Yesternight! Wow, I can’t wait to try this in the fall. Such a deep blackberry and since it’s sort of a jelly the shine is never-ending. Of course it’s perfect for any time of year, but I think it has Fall written all over it.
I was so pleasantly surprised with Yesternight. I really thought it was going to be black, but it’s a rich blackberry jelly-like polish and is very pigmented and super glossy. Only 2 coats. Some of the many things I love about indie polish companies is their constant vision for thinking outside the box, pushing their own limits and constantly adding to their inventory of wonderful shades and finishes. Madam Glam is one of those companies that continue to bring it all to the table. Today I’ll be sharing some super glossy cremes. All perfect for the office or a beach party! Let’s see what we have!
From Left, Falling For You, Underground Queen and Rose Pethal. All three amazing formulas on these cremes.
First up is fast becoming one of my favorite shade types for spring and summer. Even without a tan, it makes you seem like you have one! Here is Falling For You. I think of this one as a bleached neon type of shade. Either way, it works for me.
Falling For You is described as: “Soft Baby Pink. It’s like the beginning of a romance : soft, simple, amazing! The perfect pink for every romantic out there.” I reached full opacity in two smooth coats, super glossy! It’s quite bright without being a true neon, so no flat finishes here!
Another glossy pale peachy pink is Rose Pethal. Very neutral as far as nudes go and I think it would work on many skin tones.
Rose Pethal is described as: “Soft Pink Romantic yet playful, this light Pink is a must have for everyday occasion. So simple and so stylish!” I reached full opacity in this smooth applying creme in two coats. Super glossy as well!
And last for this post is a rich grey that is super glossy and a dream to apply. Underground Queen is a perfect grey on its own or as a moody base for nail art.
Underground Queen is described as: “Gunmetal Grey You always think outside the box? Then this shade is perfect for any season and occasion. Sophistication to another level!” As with the other two cremes I shared in this post, this applied totally opaque in two coats and dries super glossy!

The month of April brings is the 1930s from the SquareHue Decades Collections monthly subscription box. And boy is it bright and happy! Each month subbies get three full size polishes related to the changing themes. For 2015 SquareHue is featuring a different decade. Fresh on the heels of the 1929 stock market crash, folks going from feast to famine experienced many changes. They found new strength in themselves and community, and fun and fashion shared the spotlight with new technologies and pastimes. And just like changing fashions, the world’s focus was centered around recovery, staying afloat and avoiding another war. On a lighter note, let’s take a fun look at the colors inspired by that decade.
What brilliant shades to brighten the memories of the past! The tomato soup orangish red is called Boardgame. That lovely green with blue notes is WPA. and that grapey purple is Tomorrowland.I love the attention to detail SquareHue gives to its labeling. First up is what I would definitely call a tomato red. Not in the orange family but you can definitely see it in this glossy red creme called Boardgame.
Boardgame is a brilliant orangey red creme gloss. The formula is on the thin side but super easy to apply and very forgiving. 2-3 coats to a perfect finish. In the 1930s, families were still trying to recover from economic turmoil, and the introduction of inexpensive board games became the norm for family fun. Games like dominoes, card games, and the first editions of Monopoly and Scrabble soon occupied playtime for kids and adults alike.
Next up is WPA. It’s a great creme, not quite as glossy as the other two, but a cool medium toned green.
WPA is a 2-coat green creme. It’s a great formula. WPA of the 1930s stands for Work Progress Administration, part of the “New Deal” getting people back to work.
And lastly we have that gorgeous grape, a slightly dusky purple called Tomorrowland. The formula is much like WPA, and is opaque in two coats.
This is Tomorrowland. I love this kind of purple. And the formula is super smooth. In the 1939 Worlds Fair, the Tomorrowland exhibit gave us a glimpse into the future.
Just for fun, I did a dry marble accent nail using all three shades. A culmination of the hopes and dreams of the 1930s.
Here is a combo dotticure and dry marble using all three shades. I love that none of the shades are related but seem to compliment each other in this nail art.
