Some new Born Pretty nail pretties you’ll love

It’s been awhile since I posted for Born Pretty store so today I have three pretty items to share with you. Next week I’ll be sharing a gorgeous stamping plate that also arrived with these.

• Today I have a super cute Flower Fairy gel in color #6

Born Pretty Flower Fairy gel in color #6, looks like miniature lavender petals on my nail tips. Can be used over a base color, but I love the look of negative space and nude with this! Cure as you would all gel polishes.

Born Pretty Flower Fairy gel in color #6, a pretty lavender flower within a clear gel base. Cure as you would under lamp, then top with gel top coat and cure. I found it easiest to smooth over nail tip, then dab extra flowers with a tiny nail dotting tool. Or you could use a toothpick.

• A mermaidy glitter/pigment Starry Sky in color #2345.

Born Pretty Starry Sky glitter #2345 rubbed over black gel polish that has been cured. Very easy to rub in but unlike some of the finer pigments, also leaves a few chunkier flakes but remain smooth. The duochrome chameleon effect is stunning. Here I added a gel matted topcoat over the accent nail, cured, then drops of clear gloss gel topcoat and cured for a water droplet effect.

Born Pretty Starry Sky glitters come in 12 shades, this one is very mermaidy, #2345. This glitter is not the super fine powder as often found in powder pigments but can be used the same way. Can also be used to mix into a color or clear polish.

• And a gorgeous chameleon Teal/Purple color shifting Holo polish in #33.

Here is Born Pretty Holo Polish #33 over a blue base. A pretty shifty and glossy chameleon polish.

New OPI Infinite Shine, pt. 3

These six OPI Infinite Shine polishes with their Primer and Gloss topcoat have truly been a joy to test. The Gel Effects Lacquer System may not be the only kid on the block with this “no-curing” method, but they certainly do give hard core gel systems a run for their money. I might add, none of the darker shades stained my nail beds. Just thought I’d throw that in for free! 😉 And since I’ve already laid the groundwork with the two previous posts, I’ll proceed right on to the last two shades in this series of swatches… Pretty Pink Perseveres and She Went On and On and On!

Don't you love a great baby pink? Pretty Pink Perseveres is a delicate pale pink creme. She Went On and On and On actually teams up pretty nicely.

Don’t you love a great baby pink? Pretty Pink Perseveres is a delicate pale pink creme. She Went On and On and On actually teams up pretty nicely.

First, check out Pretty Pink Perseveres! This pretty pink creme was thick and highly pigmented like the pale blue in the previous post, but no worries. A light and patient hand will get the job done.

Pretty Pink Perseveres is the same formula as To Infinity & Blue-yond but this one took three coats. I think it's because my nails are stained from so much swatching lately. Someone with unstained nails could probably get away with two coats.

And last but NOT least, one of my favorites in the bunch, She Went On and On and On. LOVE coral reds, and to me it just screamed for some gold accents!

She Went On and On and On is one of the most perfect coral red cremes I've ever tried. Accented here with 18k gold...this will be one of my first summer manis in 2015!

That concludes this 3-part series on OPI’s Infinite Shine system. Have you picked up any of the 30 available shades? I’m dying to try more!

OPI Infinite Shine polishes, pt. 2

This is the second set in this 3-part series on OPI’s new Gel Effects Lacquer System, Infinite Shine which includes the Primer and the Gloss topcoat. I’m thrilled with how pigmented these polishes are. Today I’ll be sharing two more from the six on my shelf! To Infinity & Blue-yond and Indignantly Indigo.

This pastel blue, To Infinity & Blue-yond will look great this summer when my tan returns! And then there's this wintery indigo perfect for this winter season, Indignantly Indigo.

As I mentioned, To Infinity & Blue-yond requires two coats because the first one will streak, even though it's highly pigmented. The outcome is worth it!

Indignantly Indigo is that kind of blue that catches your eye and makes you go, "whaaa?! That is gorgeous! I want that!"

Remember, to get the best out of these gel like lacquers, you will want to apply the Primer and the Gloss topcoat, and you’ll get tons of wear out of all 30 available shades. Come back in the next day or so for the last two shades in this series!
