CND Creative Play™ Turquoise Tidings is a 3-coat on its own, or 1 coat over another color glitter fill jelly. By itself, it’s a mermaidy combo of holo and iridescent glitters, and it’s gorgeous over a dark shade, like you see here over Navy Brat CND Creative Play.Here is two coats of CND Creative Play™ Nocturne It Up. In a very blackened jelly base, it’s loaded, yet smooth, with holographic glitters in various sizes.Navy Brat, a CND Creative Play™ creme in deep Navy blue. Here it is in two coats and great formula. Amazingly smooth!My 2nd installment of CND Creative Play™ polishes are black and blues! From left, Navy Brat, a 2-coat navy blue creme; Nocturne It Up, a black jelly holographic glitter 2-coat glossy polish. And Turquoise It Up, an ocean blue jelly filled with iridescent holographic glitter top coat, or you can accomplish full coverage in three coats on its own.
CONCLUSION: Love all of these. The creme is butter smooth and the jelly/glitter combos are pretty darn opaque and smooth in only 2-3 coats.

Desert Poppy is a gorgeous poppy red-leaning orange shimmer. I used two coats.
Lavender Lace is so delicate.
Lavender Lace is a shimmery, glossy pale lavender. More sheer than the rest in this set, but I still managed to make it work with 2 coats. You may require 2-3.
Skin Tease is a rosy nude but not too pink.
Skin Tease is a delicate skin tone, slightly rosy nude with a hint of shimmer. Two coats here.
Pink Pursuit is a dusty rose and super shiny!
Pink Pursuit is a pink creme with a hint of salmon, very glossy and saturated. Two coats here.
Honey Darlin’ is shiny like the sun.
Honey Darlin’ is a super glossy, pigmented butter yellow creme. Perfect for those afraid of yellows. Two coats. CONCLUSION: I love this collection. All the formulas were consistently smooth and glossy. My fave shades were Desert Poppy, Be Demure and Honey Darlin’. I highly recommend each one!

Directions for the Soak: Add a teaspoon to footbath and agitate water to dissolve.
Directions for the Scrub: Gently Massage onto hands and feet and in circular motions. Rinse with clean water or remove with a moist, soft sponge. Dry with a towel.
Directions for the Masque: Apply a thin, even coat onto hands and feet. Wrap applied areas in a towel and let sit for 5 minutes. To remove, rinse with warm water.
Directions for the Lotion: Massage onto hands and feet until completely absorbed.
The Soak granules for both the GARDENIA WOODS™ and BRIGHT CITRON™ are about the size of sea salt and dissolve easily. A silky smooth experience.

I received the CND Vinylux Weekly Polish Autumn Wedding trio recently from RPR Marketing. The trio is a fanciful mix of dark and light. Negligee is a perfect semi-sheer pink for the bride. Or maybe in keeping with tradition of “something blue”, Creekside as a pale blue creme that is very bride or bridesmaid appropriate. Faux Fur is a deep chocolate cream, and a perfect choice for an autumn themed wedding.

“Something Old, Something New, Something Brown & Something Blue.”
Negligee is a semi-sheer pink nude with a very delicate touch of blue shimmer, 2-4 depending on how sheer you want it.
My fave of the bunch, Negligee is a sheer pale pink with a touch of blue shimmer. the formula is glossy and in two coats you get an innocent, creamy and delicate effect. I think you might get full opacity in 3 coats, but I loved the semi-sheer look of 2.
Creekside is a light, sky blue creme. 2 coats.
Creekside is a creamy baby blue, 2 coats and a glossy finish. Perfect for “something blue”!
Faux Fur is a deep chocolate creme. 2 coats.
Faux Fur is a dark chocolate brown creme, very opaque and fairly glossy.
CONCLUSION: Negligee was my favorite, and I don’t often say that about sheers or semi-sheers. But this shade and formula also excels at correcting yellow tints to the nail. 2 coats and you could not see the slightly yellow tinge I have on my natural nails from repeated polish use. Faux Fur had a couple of problems although once I applied both coats and shook the heck out of the bottle, the little brown pigment specs finally mixed through. I think it was a bottle that hadn’t been properly mixed. But it’s fine now. Creekside, and I’ve featured it before, was as perfect as a pale blue cream can get!

I have a few CND salon products I’m featuring today using their long-wearing Weekly Polish System and CND Enhancements Additives (sent to me by Loxa Beauty). Remember, I’m not a nail tech and my art is what I call “beginners”. At least I have fun doing it! 😉 RPR sent me four polishes which truly are, “Bold and Beautiful”. Fall shades and finishes are in step this season. They are perfect for back to school looks as well. Be it fun and feisty or smoldering and sexy, CND’s got your color.

For this Fall-iscious look I used Dark Dahlia as a base, then drops of Midnight Swim. While wet pinched on a bit of CND Enhancements Additive Jaded Rebel Pigment Effect. Then a few drops of Scarlet Letter followed by a pinch of Midnight Revelry Additives glitter.
I will add here, I LOVE the outcome using the Additives, so graciously sent to me by Loxa Beauty! Sort of a pain to remove. The super fine milled Additive Jaded Rebel really clings to the skin. Next time I think I’ll use a latex barrier while applying! But the end result is SO worth it.
This mani goes POP! Electric Orange is a bright, popping orange creme. Cerulean Sea is a medium sky blue creme. I used a dotting tool to dab on drops of Cerulean Sea, followed by drops of Electric orange! A word about the formulas. The blue was a bit watery but a good formula with good coverage, 2-3 coats. The Electric Orange gave me fits. I think it may have been a bad bottle, which is rare for CND. I had to give it a good shake because upon first application, it had some chunks of pigment that would not smooth out. Sort of like curds. It eventually smoothed out, but the formula is on the thick side. I needed to allow the first coat fully dry before applying the second.
Although I had trouble with the Electric Orange formula, I do believe it was just a bad bottle, or suffered heat stroke in the mail! Once I worked it out, it looked fabulous!

I have the good fortune of blogging for RPR Marketing. They promote CND salon products including their long-wearing Weekly Polish System and even longer-wearing Shellac. I’m rarely disappointed in Vinylux collections and always welcome their arrival! Today I’ll be sharing the new CND Vinylux Holiday 2015 Aurora collection.

Let’s take a look at these four frozen beauties! First up is Winter Glow.
Winter Glow, a cream pastel pink in a perfect creamy formula. 3 coats for full opacity. Now this is a perfect blushing pink! Winter Glow
And from that glisteny spectrum of colors in the night, Nordic Lights.
Nordic Lights, a deep plumy purple with fine and chunky holographic glitter. 2 coats on its own here. Nordic Lights
This pink is a throwback to my younger days of frosty pastel pinks, Tundra.
Tundra, a delicate dusty rose metallic. Not too bad for streaking as some metallics will do. 2 coats here. Not my favorite, beautiful polish, great formula. But I wore so many polishes like this in my teens. Did I just date myself?! Tundra
And no winter collection is complete without a frost cool blue stunner, Glacial Mist.
Glacial Mist, a mid-toned blue glitter with hints of silver in a shimmery pale baby blue base. 2 coats. Glacial Mist
Conclusion: I really like this collection. My favorite of the collection is Nordic Lights. I’m a sucker for plumy purples, jelly bases and holo! And frosty pale pinks are pretty, but sort of old school. I’d have like to have seen a near black/blue jelly with tiny holo sparkles instead. Sort of like the midnight sky with lights twinkling. But that’s just me. All the formulas were great! Just a little hiccup and I’m sure a very rare anomaly, I did have one funky brush…and a solution should you encounter one with any polish.
Had a bit of an issue with the brush from Glacial Mist. Very rare finding in CND brushes. You see here I wiped off most of the wet polish from the brush, but even fully loaded with polish those little buggers wanted to poke out everywhere. Easy fix, cuticle scissors are better used to fix wonky brushes than cutting precious cuticles!

It has been awhile since I reviewed one of my favorite polish removers, CND® Shellac Power Polish Nourishing Remover. I am still using it and I have to say, it’s still my go-to remover when I am in swatchfest mode. Especially with glitters and ornery polishes. That can be anything from 4-12 polishes in one day for my blog! You see, nail bloggers put their nails, hands and cuticles through a lot. Not so much just wearing the polish, no biggie. But removing, washing, re-applying, etc., takes its toll on our very valuable digits. For this you need plenty of TLC including cuticle balms, oils, soaks, nail treatments and good quality removers, top and vase coats. Tools of the trade as it were!

Things to remember:
• There are approximately 160 applications per .5 oz. bottle.

Today’s post is the final installment of my review and swatches of CND VINYLUX Weekly Polish collection (also available in Shellac), Contradictions. It has been a joy to play with these fabulous polishes. Highly pigmented and application-perfect, this set of fall shades is impressive. Here are the final four, Tartan Punk, Peacock Plume, Safety Pin and Poison Plum!
I had a little fun with a Tartan design on my accent nail using red Tartan Punk, a 1-2 coater, deep shimmery blue Peacock Plume and a touch of chromey Safety Pin.
Peacock Plume is a lovely deep blue creme with flecks of green and blue micro glitter. Tartan Punk is a classic bright red creme.
Here’s a fun “did you know” moment! According to Wikipedia, Tartan is a pattern consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. Tartans originated in woven wool, but now they are made in many other materials. Tartan is particularly associated with Scotland. And finally, Poison Plum and Safety Pin to finish out this sassy set of Contradictions!
Poison Plum is hard to capture it deep plum jelly shade with it’s red glitters within, but believe me, it’s not black! Which is why I included a sunshine shot. 1-2 coats for full opacity. Safety pin is a gorgeous metallic chrome with a slight golden tint in the right light. 1-2 coats.I took a sunshine shot to show you how really gorgeous Poison Plum is!
Safety Pin is a silvery chrome with micro shimmer. Poison Plum is a glossy deep plum jelly with flecks of chunky glitter.

Continuing my feature of these eight fabulous shades for fall 2015, Contradictions is a fun transitional set. Today I’ll be sharing two more polishes, Grommet and Rouge Rite.
Rouge Rite is one of those essential reds, not a bright red, but a moody, juicy red.
Rouge Rite is a gorgeous red creme that applies like a dream, completely opaque in two smooth coats. It was a fabulous base for this plastic wrap nail art using Grommet. Rouge Rite is a seductive, cool, deep red creme.
Grommet is a one-coat gun-metal full of shine and silver shimmer. I found it was a great choice teaming up with Rouge Rite for a plastic wrap nail art look.
Grommet is a one-coater gun-metal gray, and a fabulous matchup with Rouge Rite. Grommet is a deep pewter with micro flecks of gun metal glitter.
