Get ready for the Beach with Deborah Lippmann Message In A Bottle

If you’ve followed my posts and ramblings any amount of time, you know by now I am a beach NUT! This little collection of four delicate polishes by Deborah Lippmann, Message In A Bottle is beach ready and the colors are soft and feminine.

The very delicate quad collection of Gel Lab Pro Polishes from Deborah Lippmann make up Message in a Bottle. Perfect summer hues for your tips and toes. From bottom left and clockwise: Sea of Love, Beachin’, Cake By the Ocean and Message in a Bottle.

Message in a Bottle, my fave of the bunch, is a sheer holographic mauve shimmer. This is two coats.

Sea of Love is a full coverage misty blue creme. A bit on the thick side but one coat and done.

Cake By the Ocean in two coats is a full coverage baby pink creme. A bit on the thick side. First coat will be a bit streaky but the second coat balances it out. Love this shade!

Beachin’ is a full coverage taupe brown creme. I managed this very pigmented, sort of thick formula in one coat. I don’t know if it was humidity but I had a hard time smoothing it out. The good news is the nude is a perfect shade for a neutral mani, and of course the brushes on these are perfection. That helped but this was my least favorite application.

CONCLUSION: I love the shades and if you act fast you can get all four shades at a great discount. The color, Message In A Bottle was my favorite color and formula. The three cremes are super pigmented, a bit on the thick side but workable and 1-2 coat application is all that is needed. The brushes are perfect for sometimes difficult formulas. Very little if any cleanup is needed. I did have a bit of trouble with Beachin’, the nude creme. But it worked out. Overall, I like the collection for its pale shades. They remind me of sand, water, shells and sunshine on a perfect beach day.
