Sparkle & Co goes Gold and I’m in the Pink! (Wink, Wink)

Well, today I have a multi-dimensional post to share with you. This is a long one with lots of images, so get your coffee or tea and settle in! If you’ve followed me for any time at all you’ll know how impressed I am with all things Sparkle & Co at OceansofBeauty.com. Owner Christy is always innovating and updating and upgrading. She is a force to be reckoned with. I don’t know where she gets her energy but that brain of hers…always working! How about a little gilded love plus a pink wonder for when you can’t make up your mind? Ahh, there’s the hook! lol I want to share Sparkle & Co’s newest Chrome Pure pigment powder in Gold. A fabulous little oil that does double duty as a cuticle oil AND can also be applied to the rims of those pesky nail treatment bottles that get stuck and won’t play nice. Let’s get started!

First up is Chrome Pure pigment powder in Gold. A metallic mirror-like finish that can be used over cured gel polish color and no wipe top coat…OR…now you can use the chrome and holographic pigments using regular polish with Sparkle & Co Top Pure. I wanted you to see both treatments and the finish difference is negligible. You have only to decide how long you want to sport your shiny mani!

You might say I’m always on the hunt for my next favorite peel off base coat. This one, wow! Use it under anything from ornery glitter polish, to gel polish, to dip powder nail color! In fact, I wasn’t expecting this but its glossy and sort of color correcting so if you want to “go nude” for the evening and then wear your fave sheer or negative space mani, this is for you! One this coat and it goes on so smooth and dries fast.

Cool huh? I know it’s not a new thing, but this is the thing. It’s gentle, works amazing and spreads evenly. It’s in a full size bottle with a great brush, self leveling so it’s not too thin or thick. So you get a lot for only $12!

CONCLUSION: Love it all! I will say that I highly recommend waiting at least an hour or two before exposing your hands to water/showering after using ANY peel off base coat. Whether using regular polish or gel, it needs time to completely set in. I had someplace to go and showered about 20 minutes after completing the manicure and one of the applications (full polish and everything) just popped off. But that was my fault. I simply applied a coat of regular base coat and placed it back on the nail. I’ve found that this can happen with ANY peel base. In reference to using the Chrome Pure Gold over both gel and regular polish manis (using Top Pure) I found the mirror shine was identical to the naked eye. I could only see a bit of glittery pitting using a high power magnifying glass! My photos seem a bit soft but believe me the mirror shine was amazing. The day I did them was very dark rainy and overcast and I try to avoid using flash like the plague. I might try next time applying the gold over white for a paler gold effect. So either way you’re good to go.
