Deborah Lippmann LE Her Majesty Gift Collection!

I finally got to swatch the eight polishes contained in the Gel Lab Pro Color gift collection by Deborah Lippmann, Her Majesty, which is Limited Edition. The set also includes a bottle of Hard Rock Base and Top Coat (which I previously reviewed https://lacqueredlori.wordpress.com/2016/06/11/deborah-lippmann-lifes-a-beach-duo-makes-a-splash/!).

Emperor’s New Clothes (nude crème)
Ever After (rosy mauve crème)
King Of The Road (medium grey creme)
Blue Blood (royal blue crème)
Crown Velvet (royal purple crème)
If I Ruled The World (forest green shimmer)
Hard Rock (nail strengthening base and top coat)
Reign Of Love (rich red crème)
Queen Of The Night (blackened purple shimmer).

Now for the swatches!

Emporer’s New Clothes in 3 coats. I like the chocolate milk shade, a blush nude creme. The formula is a bit thick so you want to apply in as thin coats as possible to avoid dimensional bands! Top with top coat to even out easily.

Ever After in 2 coats, on the thicker side this formula is nearly as thick as Emporer’s New Clothes but somehow easier to apply.

Blue blood was a perfect formula, 2 coats. Amazing blue creme! Same with the grey creme, King of the Road. I thought these two were made to be together.

The royal blue creme Crown Velvet, leans ever-so-slightly to having a purple tint. Both amazing formulas, this mani’s mate, If I Ruled the World is a shimmery deep forest green.

I can never help myself, I love purples with reds and pinks. So I paired these two! The sexy red creme is Reign of Love and the purple is Queen of the Night, a blackened base purple shimmer. 2 coats each.

CONCLUSION: This set is gorgeous and a great array of shades and finishes. All are glossy on their own but the green shimmer, If I Ruled the World, dries at a slightly less glossy effect. However after adding the Hard Rock Top Coat, which also dries quickly. The thickest formulas that require a bit more finesse to apply was the nude creme, Emporer’s New Clothes; and the rosy mauve creme, Ever After. I had to layer three coats of the nude creme, and 2 coats of the rosy Mauve. The rest of the formulas were easy and just the right amount of fluidity.
