Manis and lacquers

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Cult Cosmetics polishes are blooming hearts!

Well, I’ve been swatching and writing my little heart out since my return from vacation. And today I received several new shades that are now available on the Cult Cosmetics web site. Since Valentine’s Day is just a couple of days away, I thought I would share a cute mani with you. Super simple, and I used Venice Beach, Palos Verde and the lovely violet pink Santa Monica. Take a look!

Don't you love this pretty creme called Santa Monica? I mean, WOW! So pigmented and ceamy. I knew right away I wanted to use it for a Valentine mani. Here I use Venice Beach and Palos Verde by Cult Cosmetics for the grass and flower stalks and heart shaped nail gems for the flowers. Awe.....

Santa Monica is described by Cult Cosmetics as, “A violet that’s intense and vibrant. Santa Monica sunsets aren’t complete without a beautiful bright shade of purple. Be unique and bold with this very vivacious violet.”

CC describe Venice Beach as, “Bright minty green. Venice Beach is the perfect destination for artists, iconoclasts, and risk-takers. Make life quirky with this stunning mint green polish. It’s easy being green!”

Cult describes Palos Verde as, “Deep forest green. Palos Verdes is a rich, natural green that evokes the gorgeous forest trails of Southern California. Go green all year round.”

I used a very teeny tiny lining brush to achieve the simple grass and flower stem effect using the two greens, Palos Verde and Venice Beach. Then I simply applied little heart shape gems in place of flowers. Here are the polishes.

I'm loving these new shades from Cult Cosmetics. From left: Venice Beach, Palos Verde and Santa Monica. Three amazing and very pigmented cremes. 1-2 coats and be sure to check back. I'll be featuring more manis using the greens very soon!
