Who can resist a great holo or matte? Me neither! I’m a sucker for everything holo and everything matte, and these two beauties from Spell Polish don’t disappoint. Today I have Lizard’s Leg (a linear holo) and Wool of Bat (a velvety matte). Each so dynamically different and each are breathtaking.
First up is Lizard’s Leg! From the moment I saw this one I knew it would be a joy to swatch. It’s got everything. A linear Holo chrome, a dusty, navy blue, quick drying, highly pigmented, smooth and perfect application in 1-2 coats, long wearing and eye-catching in the sunlight. I wore this stunner for 5 days with little tip wear only on my right hand, no tip wear on the left, and no chipping. I used two coats with a single topcoat. It is described as “is a Steely Navy Blue linear holographic with a subtle cast of fuchsia sparkles.” All bottles are 15 mL/.5 oz.
Wool of Bat is a black violet matte polish so complex, you’ll wonder at it’s beauty. It is a velvety finish and for accents or to change the look even more, try a clear topcoat! I love multitasking polishes don’t you? It is described as “a rich velvety black with an iridescent, sparkly purple undertone and a matte finish. Add clear topcoat to bring out its iridescent sparkle!” It is suggested to use 2-3 coats for full coverage depending on your technique and shake/roll before use for Spell Polish mattes. After seeing this shade, I’m now on the hunt for a cozy sweater to match!
I highly recommend this collection and to date, I’ve been thrilled with each of Heather’s polishes. More to come! 🙂
