My NOTD with indigo tips

NOTD ✨ I am loving this combo using some new shades from Cult Cosmetics 😊 That gorgeous lavender creme is The Roxy, my blue tips are from a fantastic indigo shimmer called House of Blues. Then finished with the holographic topcoat on the tips called Hollywood Bowl!

This is so easy, a cave girl could do it!

Here are the shades I used. Great formulas all.

A radiant mani with some new shades from Cult Cosmetics

For this look I used two of the seven new shades from Cult Cosmetics, La Cita and The Viper Room. I knew I wanted to use these two beautiful, glossy cremes together, then it clicked!

The name "La Cita" is inspired by the legendary venue in Downtown L.A. This is a brilliant orange, not neon, but muy spicey! The minty green is called "The Viper Room" and let me say, it's pretty amazing!

By the way, the formulas on both of these are perfect as always with Cult Cosmetics polishes. They dry fast and glossy, typically one coaters. I decided on a sort of fanned out, somewhat geometric design.

The Viper Room, Color Club Art Club Nail Art liner in white, and La Cita.

Shimmer Polish’s Natalie makes a stunning gradient

I adore the glitter colors combined in this indie glitter called Natalie! I started out with Prosecco by Sinful Colors but it needed something extra. I thought Natalie was the perfect glitter for the job.

Just a little gradient using Natalie over Prosecco by Shimmer is stunning!

Natalie is described as "Glitter, squares, circles, hex, dot, shimmer, holographic, nail polish, Silver, sea foam green, nail lacquer, cyan, blue."

Even though this mani is so simple, I’m really happy with how it turned out. Shimmer Polish glitters are perfect for full coverage or even gradients like this because they go on so smooth, never gritty. Love them!

Indie polishes inspired by a fun fall song, by Chloe & Bella!

I toyed with the idea of titling this post, “Words I never thought I’d put together in a sentence, “I’m going to wear Gopher Guts for the holidays.” But it was too long. 😉 Here is a fun trio, buy one or buy all, you’ll love these “thought out of the box” polishes inspired by the song, Great Green Globs Of Greasy, Grimy Gopher Guts. This collection will be released on Chloe & Bella store on Oct. 1st!

At the top is Gopher Guts, Monkey Meat and on the b bottom is Birdy Feet!

At the top is Gopher Guts, Monkey Meat and on the b bottom is Birdy Feet!

Barbara from Chloe & Bellas says the 2014 Halloween Collection is not for the faint of heart! I asked her about how this fun fall trio came about. She said, “We’ve taken one of our favorite childhood Halloween songs and translated it into nail polishes! Do you remember “Great Green Globs Of Greasy, Grimy Gopher Guts”? Well, when I was looking for inspiration for the 2014 Halloween Collection, this song immediately came to mind and I knew that I had to find a way to use it for the inspiration of the Halloween trio. So without further ado, I present to you: Gopher Guts, Monkey Meat, and Birdy Feet! Oh, and the polishes still adhere to the C&B strict “Inspired by Nature” philosophy.”

First up is Gopher Guts, my fave of the trio. I seriously love this type of green and although it’s inspired for a Halloween mani, I am pretty sure it will find its way to my digits around Christmas time! Two coats here.

Gopher Guts is a stunner of a polish that's based on a bright green jelly base and loaded with holograph glitters. The glitters include: black holo dots, hex, and triangle glitters with a splash of holo graphic pigment.

GG is super sparkly, can be worn alone or over another green for more depth.

Of course I had to show you Gopher Guts up close! LOL

Monkey Meat. What can I say?! The base of this one reminds me of melted carmel! Two coats here and I tried a matte topcoat on the accent nail/ring finger. I think I like it even more that way.

I love this carmel color in Monkey Meat!

Monkey Meat is another knock-out polish that will really wow you with its surprising beauty. Based on a brown crelly base, Monkey Meat is piled high with holographic and matte glitters. The glitters include: red holo dots/squares/diamonds, brown hex, green dots, and green holo dots.

And lastly, I LOVE this Birdy Feet! You don’t often find sparkly browns so this is a treat. Of course I had to draw some birdy footprints over a mattified brown for the accent nail. Remember, no animails were harmed in any way during the production of these polishes or creation of this post 😉

Two coats is all you need with Birdy Feet.

Birdy Feet is a gorgeous, light and yet somehow eerie mix of tons of yellow glitters. The glitters include: copper and beige squares, and brown hex.

And a macro of the bottle. This will even be appropriate for Thanksgiving. Gobble Gobble!

Surprisingly beautiful!

Just for fun Barbara provided some lyrics to the song she grew up with:

Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher guts
Mutilated monkey meat
Itty bitty birdy feet
French fried eyeballs swimming in a pool of blood
And me without a spoon.
BUT I GOT A STRAW!!!…

…and it goes on 😉

The new trio for fall from indie polish company, Chloe & Bella will be for sale on the website on Oct. 1st. They’re available individually for $6.95 and in a set of three for $18.75, which will include a free bottle of the Crystal Clear Top Coat.

Frighteningly fun collection “Fall for FLL” from Finger Lickin’ Lacquer!

WARNING: Image heavy! 😉 When the owner/creator of the indie polish company, Finger Lickin’ Lacquer, shared the names and descriptions of the soon-to-be-released Fall collection, Fall for FLL, I was already conjuring up ideas for how I would photograph all nine. I have to tell you, the fragrance descriptions are spot on and there are six of the nine in this set that will make you crave those Autumn flavors.

The Fall for FLL Collection, from left: Apple Tart, Bonfire Night, Cranberry Cosmos, Fair Enchantress, Harvest Moon; Mauvelous, Dahling!, Poison Apple, Pumpking, in front Spoopy.

The Fall for FLL Collection, from left: Apple Tart, Bonfire Night, Cranberry Cosmos, Fair Enchantress, Harvest Moon; Mauvelous, Dahling!, Poison Apple, Pumking, in front Spoopy.

First up is Apple Tart. Two easy coats, awesome formula, smells so good, seriously good!

I love the scattered Holo in this. Gorgeous in the sunlight!

I love the scattered Holo in this. Gorgeous in the sunlight!

Apple Tart is descibed as "a bright red scattered holographic polish that brings to mind chilly nights at the carnival with candied apples, or brisk fall days spent up at the local apple orchard picking apples and stopping in for some warm apple cider and maybe an apple cider doughnut too. It is scented with an apple tart fragrance."

Next is Bonfire Night. Two coats, great formula, glossy like the rest. Very holographic!

Bonfire Night smells sooo yummy! And I guarantee it's a sparkler!

Bonfire Night is descibed as "a navy blue intensely holographic polish with a mulled cider fragrance. I LOVE this juicy Cranberry Cosmos. Sounds like a sparkling drink doesn’t it? The scent is delish.

Juicy and a great formula as well.

Cranberry Cosmos is descibed as "a cranberry intensely holographic polish with the sweet and tart fragrance of cranberry relish. This polish has all of the sparkle and shimmer of the cosmos packed into a beautiful cranberry red that is perfect for Thanksgiving dinner."

I’m so smitten with Fair Enchantress. Two coats is all you need and it even looks great with a matte topcoat like I did here on the ring finger.

I think it's FAIR to say this stunner is my fave in this beautiful collection!

I think it’s FAIR to say this stunner is my fave in this beautiful collection!

Fair Enchantress is descibed as "a plum crelly with copper and gold hex glitters that started off as a custom for a dear friend. She and I fell so in love with this polish that we agreed to release it with the fall collection. Fair Enchantress is one of three unscented polishes in the fall collection."

Here is a bottle macro of Fair Enchantress to tempt you even more.

Fair Enchantress is enchanting!

Fair Enchantress is enchanting!

Harvest Moon is a warm yellow…and it’s the sheerest of the set. I used three coats here and tested it with one coat over white on the ring finger. That brightens it up but if you want the warmer look, try 3-4 coats over the bare nail. It’s easy to apply, and really sparkles in the sun.

Harvest Moon is a nice transitional yellow. Not too bright, but still sparkles.

Harvest Moon is descibed as "a brilliant mustard yellow scattered holographic polish. Its color is perfect for fall – it’s a match for the changing leaves and it’s perfect for going to hay rides and corn mazes. Harvest Moon is the second of three unscented polishes in the fall collection."

This is not your granny’s mauve…no ma’am! Mauvelous, Dahling! is sultry yet has enough sparkle for the party.

A smoky and sexy mauve, Mauvelous, Dahling! is a feisty winner!

No need to be afraid of this Poison Apple! It smells divine, and even has some spooky fun black skulls and crossbones within.

This sparkler is also sheer. 3 coats on the bare nail as I did here. 2 if you paint it on thicker but I prefer to layer it on thin.

Poison Apple is descibed as "a granny smith green polish with red-to-gold flakes and a spooky surprise – skull and crossbone glitters lurking just beneath the surface. Poison Apple has a tart green apple fragrance."

This Pumking is a glorious pumpkin shade and a great formula. Misused two coats here.

Pumking is one of those orange shades I can wear with or without a tan!

And last is the party polish of the bunch, Spoopy! And oh my gosh, it smells like a bag of Halloween candy! Opaque in 2-3 coats, or one over black. I used one coat over a coat of Bonfire Night.

This glitter filled party in a bottle of black crelly screams Halloween!

Spoopy is descibed as "a fun black crelly with hex glitters in orange, purple, yellow, and green. Spoopy is so named because of a fun post on Tumblr featuring misspelled Halloween decorations. It was silly and took on a life of its own, and this polish is very much the same – Spoopy’s the perfect fun Halloween polish, especially with its sweet candy corn fragrance."

Yup, you have to see it closeup! 😉
