Reverie Nail Lacquer Summer 2014 Collection

Reverie Nail Lacquer Summer 2014 Collection

I’m pretty excited to present to you a sampling of the beauty that is the Reverie Nail Lacquer (formerly known as Two Gypsies Nail Lacquer) Summer 2014 Collection! Owner/creator, Michelle Hill, is releasing the set today at her shop on Etsy. Details below.

First on deck we have Agave.

Agave is a gorgeous formula. Wearable any season.

Agave is described as a blue/grey crelly polish with tiny copper and golden flakies. I used two coats and it dries to a smooth finish, almost glossy. Nice formula. Don’t let the first thin coat fool you. By the time you’re back to the second coat you realize that’s all you need, is two!

Then we have Orchid.

Orchid is so delicate yet just the right amount of sparkle.

I LOVE holos and Orchid is so delicate. It is described as a pale purple/pink base with a slight golden shimmer and subtle holographic sheen in the sunlight. I noticed it as also in my well lit room. I added a shot in sunlight so you can see how marvelously it sparkles! I used two medium coats, no top coat. Great formula!

Next we have Seascape.

Seascape is super summery. You'll need a bit of patience with this one as it is thicker, but the result is fun!

Seascape is described as cream colored crelly polish featuring a gold shimmer and hex and dot glitters in various shades of peach, yellow and blue. Very beachy! It is thick so glide it on as thin as you can, let dry then add your second coat. Top with a good top coat. I used Gelous.

Mermaid Scales is super glitzy and mysterious!

I painted Mermaid Scales over a thin base coat of a sheer blurple here. I love the effect. You can also build it up on it’s own. I only needed one coat over the blurple. It is described as a super sparkly micro glitter bomb with both holo and iridescent glitters. The result is smooth and shiny.

Andromeda is SO stunning!

Andromeda is drop dead gorgeous!

Andromeda is described as a blue/purple jelly base packed with hex and dot glitters, as well as two different sizes of colorful stars and tiny iridescent bar glitters. The effect is amazing. You can build it up with 2-3 coats. Or for fun layer it over a plain base color or jelly.

Summer Wine is our last selection and oh is she juicy!

Summer Wine is one of my faves in this collection.

Summer Wine is a bright red jelly polish loaded with pink, red, orange, yellow and iridescent hex and dot glitters. It really reminds me of Sangria! Like Andromeda, use thin coats and it builds up quickly.

That’s it for now. Overall I love this collection. I’m partial to holos and these jelly glitter mixes are amazing. Head on over to Michelle’s store and grab a set!

I am way behind getting things ready for vacation. I may pop on here while we are out of town, just so you know I’m still breathing and didn’t get injured shooting of fireworks! LOL Be safe everyone and have a great 4th of July holiday.

Reverie (formerly Two Gypsies Nail Lacquer) is having a 30% off sale right now AND she just released a Limited Edition color to go with her Summer 2014 collection.

Glitter Lambs Summer Jam Collection is yummy!

Glitter Lambs Summer Jam Collection is yummy!

Ahh, it’s a beautifully sunny summer morning. The birds are singing and your toaster just presented you with a perfectly tanned bagel. Bring on the butter and jam. Summer Jam that is! And here is a sunny bunch of glitter goodness. No, not for your bagels, for your nails! Get some coffee. There’s lots of photos to see!

Owner of Glitter Lambs and indie polish creator, Jamie, fills every one of these glitter toppers with magic. They are gorgeous and there’s no end to the possibilities you can create with base colors, or just go crazy and layer them up. It won’t take long because they are loaded. Let’s start with Orange Marmalade.

Orange Marmalade is the sunniest combo ever! I layered it over a brilliant orange here.

Watermelon just screams summertime. If you’ve ever been to a county fair, you’ve probably seen pickled watermelons. Believe it or not, they’re pretty tasty! Jamie captured it beautifully with her Pickled Watermelon glitter topper.

Just Kiss Me by Victoria’s Secret

Just Kiss Me by Victoria's Secret

Just a quick post on this glorious summer day. I’ve had this gem since last December and I’m just now getting around to swatching it! “Just Kiss Me” is a stunning high gloss raspberry polish with a massive amount of scattered holographic particles. It sparkles like crazy in or out of the sun.

Thank you Jamie from Glitter Lambs for the perfect accent!

Thank you Jamie from Glitter Lambs for the perfect accent!

The formula seems on the thin and smooth side on the first coat but it’s completely opaque on the second, dries fast and glossy. The brushes on Victoria’s Secret Lacquers are medium width and splay nicely. All in all I highly recommend these boutique lacquers. You can find them at all VS brick and mortars and as of the date of this post, they were half price at $5 each online and in stores! Check out all 20 shades at https://www.victoriassecret.com/beauty/all-makeup/nail-lacquer-victorias-secret.

And a special thank you to Jamie at Glitter Lambs for the sweet Crystal bow accent. Perfect and feminine for this sweet mani! You can find Jamie’s shop and while you’re there grab yourself some gorgeous glitter toppers and accents at https://www.etsy.com/shop/GlitterLambsPolish.

Unicorns Love Cotton Candy by Glitter Lambs

Unicorns Love Cotton Candy by Glitter Lambs

Jamie, the owner and indie polish maker from Glitter Lambs says she can just imagine unicorns sitting around eating cotton candy. I can see that! 😉 It may be fantasy but if there was ever a glitter inspired by the mono horned equine, this is it!

I bet unicorns like glitter with their cotton candy!

This has rainbow holo glitter, pastel hex in different sizes, some scattered white dots, and some scattered cotton candy pink dots, in a clear base. Here it is up close.

Zoya Jesy from the Bubbly collection. She’s spicy!

Zoya Jesy from the Bubbly collection. She's spicy!
This is the perfect summer orange! This is Florida orange juice orange. How perfect is that?!

Here is the third review from my Bubbly haul! I have two to go. I didn’t pick up Alma as I would like to test it first somehow. I’m not sure if it’s right for my skin tone. But it’s gorgeous in the bottle. But this Jesy, oh my! I don’t own a lot of oranges and this is hands down in my favorites. By the way, Zoya rates this opacity at 3 out of 5, and I used 3 coats here. I do think you could get away with two, depending in how thick you apply it. As always with Zoya polishes, the brushes are perfect.

Oh Jesy, you're so juicy!

Oh Jesy, you’re so juicy!

Zoya says Jesy can be best described “as a full coverage, firey coral orange metallic holo featuring the exclusive liquid-metal holographic jelly formula. The golden undertones make this shade bright enough to flatter a tan but keep it distinctly different from the coppers of Fall!” And they are spot on. I think there is just the right orange tint in this one to flatter anyone’s skin tone.

All six of the Bubbly shades are $9 each and are available now on http://www.zoya.com, select salons and stores including Ulta. Look for more swatches from this collection as well as a couple I bought from the Tickled collection in the coming days.

All opinions are my own, and I purchased these products myself.

Zoya Binx from the Bubbly collection

Zoya Binx from the Bubbly collection

I am SO loving this Zoya Bubbly collection, for Summer 2014! I now have all of them but Alma, a warm golden peach. I was afraid it might not be kind to my complexion so I passed. So I have Binx, Jesy, Harper, Muse and Stassi. For the photo below, I used two coats and on a scale of 1-5 of opacity, Zoya rates this as a 3. It’s gorgeous!

Beautiful Binx. Blingy but not over the top! Just the right amount of sparkle and easy to remove!

Beautiful Binx. Blingy but not over the top! Just the right amount of sparkle and easy to remove!

Binx is described by Zoya as …”a spicy orchic purple dappled with gold metallic and holo sparkles. The exclusive liquid-metal holographic jelly formula is full-coverage in 2 coats. With undertones evenly balanced between red and blue, this shade is flattering to most skin tones.”

Jior Couture Summer 2014 collection, Jior Nails and Drink, sooo juicy!

Jior Couture Summer 2014 collection, Jior Nails and Drink.

Introducing two of the new Jior Couture Summer 2014 collection

I received these two minis today from Jior Couture. They may be minis but they are colorful little dynamites! Just in time for summer, Owner Sacha presents her summery collection, Nails and Drink. And when I opened the package I totally got it. That mango shade, Mango Julius, matched the mangos in my fridge perfectly!

Mango Julius is juicy!

Mango Julius is juicy!

Brilliant color matching. So of course I had to make a drink to go with it!
Yum! Love this shade!

Yum! Love this shade!

A word about Mango Julius. It requires 3 coats for full coverage. The first coat will look really sheer, and almost a tiny bit gritty as it quickly dries. It is super easy to apply, dries fast and satiny and by the 3rd coat it’s perfect. Notice I used a clear topcoat on the top two fingers and no topcoat on the ring and pinky so you could see the finish. And, it glows in the dark!
Expose to direct light for a couple of minute and get your glow on! Fun for your fingers and toes!

Next we have Raspberry Ginger Tea, Yummy! 🙂

Raspberry Ginger Tea is a refreshingly cool red.

I really love this shimmery shade of red on me. It takes about 2-3 coats and I used 3 here. The formula is amazing, great brush and dries fast. I didn’t use a top coat. Very easy to work with.

Of course I had to brew a cool pot of Raspberry Tea to sip while I did my mani!
