Two Gypsies Michelle Hill’s gorgeous indie polishes can be described as blingy, delicate, feminine, edgy, sparkly, gorgeous! She sent me these three soon-to-be-released Spring 2014 beauties to review and here they are in all their glory. In fact they will be released on April 4th.
I’ll start with this stunning glitter jelly called Tide Pools.
Tide Pools is a dark blue jelly base and it’s like looking into a tide pool on a beach at midnight. Like reflections of a starry sky, you cannot take your eye off your nails. If I didn’t have to swatch so many other polishes today I’d have left this stunner on!
You’ll find, without fishing ;-), blue hexagons, white stars, yellow circles, light blue small hexagons, green hexagons, gold glitters, gold hexes, orange hexes, large pale blue rounds, turquoise hexes and more.
Now onto the next masterpiece. Pretty and versatile Gold Stone!
Gold Stone is a clear base with a glorious amount of large pink hexes, large light pink rounds, small yellow rounds, gold rounds, pink and fold glitters, red hexagons, large pink rounds, holo glitters and probably a bunch more. But you know, my eyes are old, so 🙂
Wild Wisteria. So simple and elegant, yet look closely and you’ll see complexity. I’ve always dreamed of having a Wisteria tree in my yard. It’s that old south elegance, and it’s so dreamy. This pale lavender polish has a slight blue undertone and it has a delicate shimmer.
Application was a tiny bit challenging for me. I didn’t use a base coat, and I think this would have made the first of three layers easier. It’s on the sheer side but three coats does the trick. I can’t wait to wear this with a tan!
A macro shot showed me what was shimmering inside. Tiny little iridescent flakies!
That’s it for now! It can make for a long day, but when you swatch so many lovelies that you can’t bear to remove, it’s worth it!
You can find Michelle at her store on Etsy, Facebook and Instagram! Remember, these new lacquers will be ready to order on April 4th!
