Colorizing your world, one digit at a time

Zoya crazy

Yesterday, for me, was a monumental polish collecting mission. I don’t normally, honest, buy this many polishes in a day, let alone a week. But I was treating myself…believe me, I NEED treatment 😉

I’ve got two bottles from Zoya.com in transit right now. I ordered them with the very controversial Halloween special they ran in the waning hours on the 31st. Read the Facebook thread in the days following the event. A lot of disgruntled bargain shoppers. It has got to be difficult to run online specials as often as Zoya and not have some ordering kinks. But they’ve worked it out. Apparently some folks were attempting to trick the system into applying color spoons and/or extra coupon codes to their orders. This resulted in cancelled orders by the company to clear out the system. Then they whined about it on Zoya’s FB page. Oh well, much ado about nothing. My order JUST shipped last night after placing my BOGO w/free shipping order for a mere two polishes on 10/31. I ordered Blaze, a gorgeous red holographic-filled bottle of happiness. And for my free bottle I ordered Dream, a rich, deep royal blue oozing with holographic shimmer from the new Zenith collection.

Pictured here is part of my small but growing collection of Zoya nail candy. From left:

Sarah. Oh Sarah, you vamp you! lol She’s a fuscia red with tons of gold duo/shimmer. Wow.

My bargain from Ulta at $4.99, Ray. I’m not sure how long it’s been around, but this green is on the cool side with the finest shimmer of silver. Not exciting in the bottle so I swatched it in the store on a perfume paper strip. Oh my, where have you been all my life Ray?

My first Pixie Dust in Chyna. I haven’t tried this intense red that screams, “wear me for Christmas”, but I guarantee, I’m simply twitterpated to try it!

And after drooling for days over photos of Payton, this one is choc-full of holographic sparkles. This one and Dream are like stepping into space. But it won’t be my final frontier. I WILL wear this on my toes too.

I’ve always said I’d never pay over $8-9 for a bottle of polish. And I’ve stuck to my promise. If I can find a dupe for a dollar, I’ll be glad to do it. I wouldn’t turn down a Lippmann or Butter London gift or demo offering. Any of those companies want my review, bring it! Please!

Hey, I’m not made of money. In my estimation, I’d say brands like Zoya, China Glaze, O.P.I., Orly, etc., have just as much to offer as those high end products. Plus, I’ve been amazed at the quality of inexpensive lines from $2-7 from the likes of Sally Hansen, Pure Ice, Sinful Colors, Revlon, Hard Candy…and the list goes on. I’ve been wearing a Pure Ice for four days and not one bit of tip wear! That’s crazy good for a $2 bottle.

So, yeah, I’ve got Zoya crazy. And I’m comfortable with that. How ’bout you?
